So, a key point of the Democrats, even if they are being a little more low key about it at the moment, is getting out of the war in Iraq. Obama, Democratic front runner is on record as willing to send the US military into an ally country, against its will, to carry military actions against citizens of that country on that country’s soil. In Iraq and Afghanistan, the target of the US invasion was the government of those countries. The motivation for the invasion was to protect US interests, in part, through the betterment of the citizens of those countries. Subsequent to invading Iraq and Afghanistan, the US military has respected the will of the people in electing their own government. What Obama suggests in his willingness to invade Pakistan is exactly the opposite. Mr. Obama wants to ignore and even defy a freely elected government.
