I am beginning the migration to a new domain name. homeinjapan.com would or will be a cool name if/when we live in Japan. However, we don’t seem likely to end up there any time soon. So, I went looking for a more fitting name.
Some cyber-squatting company named Eurobox Ltd. is squatting on smittie.com. Cyber-squatting sucks. Eurobox Ltd. will gladly sell me the domain name for an offer of $500 or more. I don’t think so.
smittieandcompany.com was available and is now mine. This is actually better in that it reflects the involvement of my family. So, over the next year we will be transitioning from homeinjapan.com to smittieandcompany.com. Woo woo. Isn’t the Internet grand.
